- Check the kit against your bike before you start — this kit is intended for the Yamaha TTR110 from 2008 onward, so confirm your model year first.
- Keep the fasteners in their labelled packaging until each one is needed; the labels identify where each piece goes and make a full plastics refit far quicker.
- Fit the aluminium bushings and shoulder bolts as originally arranged — they set the correct clamping depth and stop plastics being crushed when the fastener is tightened.
- Tighten fasteners in the bike's plastics progressively and evenly rather than fully torquing one at a time, so panels sit flush without stress cracks.
- Do not overtighten hardware into plastic mounts or rubber grommets; snug is enough, and excess force will strip threads or split the panel.
- Torque anything that threads into the frame or subframe to the values in your Yamaha service manual — use the manual, not feel, for these.
- Re-check body work fasteners after the first ride and periodically thereafter, as vibration and off-road use tend to loosen plastics hardware.
- After washing or riding in mud, rinse and dry around fastener heads to keep dirt out of the drive recesses and reduce corrosion.
