The Bolt Motorcycle Hardware Pro Pack is a comprehensive factory-style fastener kit assembled for the Honda CR250 two-stroke. It gathers the metric bolts, nuts, washers, clips and rivets used across the bike into one organised pack, so a stripped fairing bolt or missing flange nut doesn't stop a rebuild or a race weekend.
Bolt developed its kits with input from mechanics and riders working in dealerships and at the track, which shows in the mix of hardware included rather than a generic assortment of bolts. - Sort the kit into a compartment tray or the supplied packaging and keep it stocked, so each fastener type stays easy to identify by head style and thread size.
- Match the replacement fastener to the original by thread diameter, pitch, length and head type before fitting; test-thread by hand to confirm it engages freely.
- Torque all fasteners to the figures in the Honda CR250 service manual rather than by feel, particularly into aluminium and magnesium castings.
- Take care with plastics and bodywork fasteners: nylon rivets and fairing bolts strip easily if overtightened, so nip them up snugly and stop.
- Use thread locker only where Honda specifies it, and clean old locker residue from threads before reassembly.
- Clean and inspect threads on reused hardware; discard any bolt with rounded drive recesses, galled threads or a stretched shank instead of refitting it.
- Re-check critical fasteners after the first ride following a rebuild, then as part of your regular pre-ride check, as vibration on a two-stroke motocrosser loosens hardware quickly.
- Store the kit in a dry place away from damp concrete floors and solvents to keep the plating from corroding.
- Replace locking nuts that no longer offer resistance when threaded on by hand; the nylon insert and locking feature wear out with repeated use.
