Replacement hex flange bolts from Bolt Motorcycle Hardware, supplied in a pack of ten. Each bolt measures 6mm in diameter by 30mm long and is made from zinc-plated 8.8 steel, so it suits general fastening jobs around the bike where a standard metric flange bolt is called for.

The integrated flange under the head spreads clamping load across a wider area, which removes the need for a separate washer and helps protect softer surfaces such as plastics and alloy brackets. Handy for restocking the workshop drawer, replacing tired or rounded original fasteners, or carrying as spares in the toolkit.

Check the thread diameter, pitch and required length against your machine's service manual before fitting, and compare the new bolt side by side with the fastener you are replacing.
Tighten to the torque figure specified by the motorcycle manufacturer for that fastener location; over-tightening can strip alloy threads or crack plastics.
Clean and inspect the female thread before installation, and chase or clean up any damaged threads rather than forcing the bolt in.
The integrated flange acts as a bearing surface, so a separate washer is generally not needed unless the manufacturer specifies one.
Use thread locker only where the manufacturer calls for it, and apply anti-seize sparingly on alloy components where recommended; note that both can alter effective clamping torque.
Re-check tension on vibration-prone fasteners after the first ride or two following installation.
Zinc plating offers a degree of corrosion protection but is not permanent - rinse off road salt and mud, dry thoroughly, and replace bolts showing rust, thread damage or rounded heads.
Use a correctly sized six-point socket or spanner to avoid rounding the hex head.
Store spares in a dry, sealed container to keep moisture off the plating.
