Fit the peak only to the Bell MX-9 model it is made for; peaks from other Bell helmet families will not locate correctly.
Remove the original peak's fasteners, seat the new peak on the shell's mounting points, then refit the fasteners evenly.
Do the fasteners up snugly by hand only - overtightening can strip the threads or crack the peak.
Check the fasteners are secure before each ride, as vibration and roost can loosen them over time.
Clean with warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth; avoid solvents, petrol, degreasers and abrasive pads, which can dull the finish and lift the graphics.
Rinse mud off rather than scrubbing it dry, so grit does not scratch the paint and decals.
Let the peak dry naturally away from direct heat sources before storing or refitting.
Store the helmet and peak out of direct sunlight and away from heat, which can fade graphics over time.
Replace the peak if it is cracked, deformed or has taken a heavy impact, rather than trying to repair it.
