The SUN-F A033 is an all-terrain tyre built for ATVs and UTVs that spend their lives on farms, properties and trails. In the 25x12.00-9 size it suits rear fitment on a wide range of quads and side-by-sides, and its non-directional tread pattern means it can be fitted to either side of the machine.

Construction is aimed squarely at durability. A heavy-duty rubber compound drawn from commercial mining truck tyres resists chunking and cutting, the 6-ply rating adds puncture resistance under load, and reinforced V blocks on the sidewall strengthen the shoulder and tread edge where working ATV tyres take the most punishment. The deep, open tread clears mud and loose ground, while tubeless construction keeps fitting and repairs straightforward.

A sensible choice if you need a workhorse tyre that will handle carting, mustering, towing and rough paddock ground without complaint.

  • Check and adjust pressures when the tyres are cold, before riding — always use the pressure specified by your ATV or UTV manufacturer for the intended load, and never exceed the maximum pressure moulded on the sidewall.
  • ATV tyres run at low pressures, so check them often; even a small drop can cause the bead to unseat or the tyre to roll on the rim under side load.
  • Fitting and bead seating on tubeless ATV tyres should be done by a qualified tyre fitter using the correct equipment and lubricant — over-inflating to seat a bead is dangerous.
  • The tread is non-directional, so the tyre can be fitted to either side of the machine; match it with a tyre of the same size and construction on the opposite side to keep handling predictable.
  • Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, chunking, embedded stones, sticks and wire, particularly after work in scrub, rocky ground or stubble.
  • After muddy or manure-laden work, hose the tyre down and clean it with mild soap and water; leaving contaminants sitting on the rubber shortens its life.
  • Avoid petroleum-based tyre dressings and solvents on the sidewalls — they can degrade the rubber compound.
  • Extended running on sealed roads will wear the knobs quickly and generate heat these tyres are not designed for; keep bitumen use to short transport sections.
  • Check wheel nut torque after the first ride following fitment, then periodically thereafter.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, shaded place away from direct sunlight, electric motors and welding equipment, all of which accelerate rubber ageing.
  • Replace the tyre if the tread is worn out, the sidewall is cut or bulging, or the carcass is exposed — sidewall damage on a tubeless ATV tyre is generally not repairable.
