ARROW Link Pipe Stainless for Arrow Slip-ons

The Arrow 71617MI link pipe is a model-specific stainless steel mid-pipe for the BMW S1000RR (2015-2016). It joins the standard exhaust collector to an Arrow slip-on silencer, so you can move to a Race-Tech or X-Kone can without replacing the whole system.

Fabricated from AISI 304 stainless steel, it is a durable, lightweight component intended for riders upgrading the rear section of the exhaust on a late-model S1000RR. Note: additional components may be required for a complete fitment — check the Arrow model diagram for your bike before ordering.

  • Fabricated from AISI 304 grade stainless steel
  • Lightweight construction compared with the standard mid-section
  • Model-specific fitment for BMW S1000RR 2015-2016
  • Connects directly to the OE exhaust collectors
  • Accepts Arrow Race-Tech and X-Kone silencers

  • Additional item/s may be required for correct fitment — refer to the Arrow model diagram

  • Fitment is best carried out by a qualified motorcycle technician; the link pipe connects to the OE collectors and requires the correct Arrow silencer and any additional mounting hardware shown in the Arrow model diagram for your bike.
  • Always let the exhaust cool completely before removing or fitting components.
  • Handle the pipe with clean gloves before its first heat cycle — fingerprints and oils can bake into stainless steel and leave permanent marks.
  • Check that all clamps, springs and hanger fasteners are secure after the first ride, then re-check periodically as heat cycles can loosen joints.
  • Some bluing or golden discolouration near the header end is normal for stainless steel that has been through heat cycles and is not a defect.
  • Clean when cool using warm soapy water or a dedicated stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pads, wire brushes and harsh solvents that scratch the finish.
  • Rinse and dry the pipe after riding in the wet or near the coast, as road salt and grime can cause surface staining if left on stainless.
  • Inspect joints for exhaust leaks, soot trails or rattles at each service, and replace gaskets and springs if they show wear.
  • Store removed OE parts in a dry place so the bike can be returned to standard if needed.
  • Aftermarket exhaust components can affect noise and emissions compliance — confirm the requirements in your state before road use.
