The Arrow Indy Race full system (part 71937AKNW) replaces the entire standard exhaust on the Kawasaki Z650 and Ninja 650 with a stainless 2:1 racing collector and an Indy Race silencer. The collector is made from AISI 304 INOX stainless steel and does away with the original catalytic converter, while retaining the bosses needed for the bike's factory exhaust sensor.

The silencer uses Arrow's Diamond Oval aluminium body in a dark black anodised finish, finished with a #4 profile carbon fibre end cap and a fixed mounting bracket. It's homologated to the ADR 83:00 noise standard, so it stays road legal in every Australian state.

Suited to Z650 and Ninja 650 riders after a lighter system, a sharper look and a fuller exhaust note without stepping outside the noise rules. Please confirm your exact model year before ordering — listings for this part number cover 2021 onward, with one supplier specifying 2021–2023.

  • Fit the system to a completely cold engine, and refit the factory exhaust sensor into the provision on the collector before starting the bike.
  • Leave all clamps and joints loose until the whole system is hung and aligned, then tighten evenly so the silencer sits square and clears the bodywork, rear tyre and pillion pegs.
  • Wipe fingerprints, oil and assembly grease off the stainless collector before the first heat cycle — anything left on the surface will burn in and discolour the metal.
  • Re-check the clamps, springs and the silencer's mounting bracket after the first few heat cycles and then at regular service intervals, as joints can settle once the system has been through heat.
  • Let the exhaust cool fully before cleaning. Use warm water with a mild detergent and a soft cloth on the anodised aluminium and carbon end cap.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, acidic or alkaline wheel cleaners and strong solvents — they will dull the black anodising and can attack the carbon fibre's resin and clear coat.
  • Don't aim a high-pressure washer directly into the silencer outlet or at the joints; blank the outlet if you're washing thoroughly, and run the bike briefly afterwards to dry the internals.
  • Ride the bike regularly or store it dry, as condensation left inside an unused exhaust promotes internal corrosion.
  • Keep the original exhaust system — you'll need it for warranty work, roadworthy checks in some situations, or resale.
  • As the catalyst is removed with this system, have your workshop check fuelling and confirm the bike runs correctly after installation.
