Deploy and retract the shade using the dedicated lever or slider on your helmet — consult your helmet's owner manual for the exact mechanism location.
Clean the tinted shade with a soft, lint-free microfibre cloth slightly dampened with clean water; avoid paper towels or abrasive cloths that can introduce fine scratches.
Never use solvent-based cleaners, petrol, alcohol, or aerosol sprays directly on the shade surface, as these can degrade the tint coating.
If the shade becomes difficult to deploy or retract smoothly, check for debris around the mechanism channel and clear gently — do not force the slider.
Store the helmet (and shade) away from prolonged direct sunlight and extreme heat, which can cause the tint coating to fade or cloud over time.
Inspect the shade periodically for cracks, deep scratches, or distortion; replace it if optical clarity is compromised, as a damaged shade can impair vision.
Ensure the shade is fully retracted before removing or fitting the helmet to avoid stress on the mounting mechanism.
