Description

The Arai RX-7V Evo is the flagship of Arai's racing programme — handmade in Japan by a three-generation family business of riders, and built around the same round, smooth shell philosophy Arai has used for decades to help impacts glance off rather than grab.

This version wears the Nakagami GP 2 replica graphics, and is aimed at track riders and fast road riders who want a race-level lid with Arai's renowned fit and finish. Standout qualities are the PB-SNC2 composite shell, the reworked ventilation and diffuser package for high-speed stability, and an interior that can be tuned and replaced pad by pad rather than being fixed for life.

Listed here in size XS.

Operations & maintenance

Always fasten the Double-D ring chinstrap before riding and check it is snug — the helmet only protects properly when correctly secured.
Wash the removable liner, cheek pads, neckroll and chinstrap covers by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, rinse well and air dry out of direct sunlight; never machine wash, tumble dry or use a hair dryer.
Clean the shell and visor with lukewarm water and a mild soap only, using a soft cloth. Never use petrol, thinners, benzene, alcohol, window cleaner or other solvents — they can damage the shell, the visor coating and the internal EPS.
Soften dried insects or road grime by laying a damp cloth over the visor for a few minutes rather than scrubbing, which can scratch the surface.
If a Pinlock insert is fitted, handle it gently — the anti-fog surface is easily marked. Wipe it only with a soft, damp cloth and no cleaning chemicals.
Remove and refit the VAS-V visor strictly according to the Arai instructions; the side pods must be fully seated and latched before riding.
Fine-tune the fit using the 5 mm peel-away layers in the ear cups, cheek pads and temple pads, or by swapping to a different cheek pad thickness, rather than accepting a loose helmet.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, exhaust fumes and chemical vapours, and never leave it resting on a mirror, handlebar or hot surface.
Do not paint the shell or apply adhesives, stickers or tapes of unknown composition, as the solvents can weaken the shell.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible damage, and replace it in line with Arai's recommended service life.
