The Alpinestars Andes V3 Drystar Jacket is a four-season adventure and touring jacket built around Alpinestars' own Drystar waterproof, breathable membrane. A reinforced polyfabric outer shell handles day-to-day abrasion and weather, while a direct ventilation system and a removable thermal liner let the same jacket work through a cold winter commute or a warm summer tour.

It suits riders who want one jacket that copes with changing conditions — adventure and dual-sport riders, commuters and long-distance tourers. Removable CE-certified shoulder and elbow protectors are fitted as standard, with chest and back compartments ready for Alpinestars Nucleon inserts, and the jacket is Tech-Air 5 ready for riders running an airbag system.

Remove the thermal liner and take out the shoulder and elbow protectors before washing the outer shell.
Wash the outer shell gently by hand or on a delicate machine cycle with a mild detergent; avoid bleach, fabric softeners, solvents and dry cleaning.
Do not tumble dry or place the jacket near direct heat such as a heater, exhaust or dryer — hang it to air dry out of direct sunlight.
Wipe the Nucleon Flex Plus protectors with a damp cloth and let them dry fully before refitting; do not machine wash them.
Refit the protectors into their pockets and check they sit correctly over the shoulders and elbows before every ride.
Close the DVS chest intakes and back exhaust ports in wet weather, and open them progressively as temperatures rise.
Keep the YKK main zipper and pocket zips clean of grit and dust; rinse off road salt and mud after wet rides so the zips keep running freely.
If water starts to sit in the outer fabric rather than beading off, refresh the shell with a proofing treatment suitable for technical textiles — the Drystar membrane is inside the jacket and is not affected by surface wetting-out.
Store the jacket on a wide hanger in a cool, dry, ventilated place rather than folded or compressed, and make sure it is completely dry before storing.
Inspect seams, stitching, closures and protectors periodically; replace the jacket after a crash or any impact that damages the shell or armour.
