Fit the kit as part of a full carburettor removal, strip and clean rather than swapping single parts in isolation.
Work on a clean bench and keep components in order as they come off, so jets and passages are not mixed up on reassembly.

Clean jets and internal passages with carburettor cleaner and compressed air only — never pass wire or drill bits through a jet, as this alters its calibration.
