- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive soap; rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Clean the visor with warm water only — avoid petrol-based solvents or harsh chemicals that can degrade the optical coating.
- Remove the Pinlock insert before washing the visor; clean it separately with mild soap and rinse gently, then allow to air dry before refitting.
- Remove the interior cheek pads and crown liner before washing; follow the care labels — typically hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent, then air dry flat.
- Do not use the helmet as a seat or place heavy objects on it; impact or crush damage is not always visible externally but can compromise shell integrity.
- Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for wear, fraying, or deformation; replace if any degradation is found.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — the EPS liner absorbs energy through deformation and cannot be reliably inspected without disassembly.
- Store in the supplied bag in a cool, dry location away from petroleum products, paint fumes, and prolonged UV exposure, all of which can degrade the shell and liner.
- As a general industry guideline, consider replacing the helmet five years from the date of manufacture or sooner if the fit, shell, visor, or liner show signs of wear or degradation.
