Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvent-based cleaners, petrol, or abrasive cloths that can degrade the shell finish and visor coatings.
Clean the visor by rinsing with warm water first to loosen grit, then wiping gently with a microfibre cloth to prevent scratching.
Remove and hand-wash the interior comfort lining with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinstalling — do not tumble dry.
Inspect the visor mechanism and retention buckle before each ride; replace the visor if it shows deep scratches that impair vision.
Do not store the helmet on a fuel tank or near petrochemical fumes, as vapours degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight; UV exposure degrades both the shell and the EPS liner over time.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — EPS liner compression is not reversible.
Follow AGV's published replacement schedule (typically 5 years from date of first use, or sooner with heavy use or impact); check the manufacture date label inside the helmet.
