It suits shim-under-bucket valve trains found across many Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha four-stroke models.

Because the range is complete rather than a partial top-up set, you can measure your clearances and finish the adjustment in one session instead of ordering individual shims and waiting on stock. That makes it well suited to workshops, race teams and home mechanics who service more than one bike or check valve clearances regularly.

Confirm your engine uses 9.48mm diameter shims before fitting — measure an existing shim or check your service manual, as some models use a different diameter.
Check valve clearances with the engine cold and the camshaft lobes pointing away from the buckets, following the clearance figures and procedure in your model's service manual.
Measure the removed shim with a micrometer rather than relying only on the number etched on its face, as the etching can wear away with use.
Calculate the replacement thickness from the measured shim plus the difference between your measured clearance and the specified clearance, then select the nearest available shim from the kit.
Handle shims by the edges and keep them free of grit; wipe each one clean and lightly oil it with engine oil before fitting so it seats squarely in the bucket.
Take care not to drop a shim into the cam chain tunnel or crankcase — block the openings with a clean rag while working.
Return serviceable used shims to the matching slot in the kit so the set stays complete and correctly sorted for the next service.
Re-check the clearances after fitting, then recheck again after the engine has been run and allowed to cool fully.
