Description

The TVS Eurogrip Roadhound is a road tyre built around a balance of grip, mileage and durability rather than chasing one at the expense of the others. This is the 130/70-18 63H rear tubeless fitment, sold individually.

It suits riders covering sealed-road kilometres in mixed conditions — commuting, weekend rides and loaded touring — where predictable wet-weather behaviour matters as much as tread life. Widely spread grooves clear water from the contact patch, while a silica-rich tread compound is formulated to work on cold and damp bitumen as well as warm, dry tarmac.

Fitment note: check this size against your motorcycle manufacturer's recommended rear tyre specification before ordering.

Key Features

  • 130/70-18 rear fitment with 63H load and speed rating
  • Tubeless (TL) construction for tubeless-compatible rims
  • E11 European type approval marking — road legal
  • High-silica tread compound for grip on wet and cold asphalt
  • Tri-Polymer tread compound blending silica-rich fillers with high-structure carbon for balanced wet/cold and dry/hot performance
  • Widely spread tread grooves for water dispersal, mechanical grip and even wear
  • FEA-optimised tread pattern and contact patch for even pressure distribution across all lean angles
  • Roll Balance carcass construction — cord material, density and stiffness tuned for stability and comfort at speed and under load
  • Structure and geometry designed to support heavy loads, including pillion and luggage
  • Quadrazone four-zone compound technology on rear radial sizes: harder centre for mileage, softer shoulders for cornering grip
  • Dedicated 0° steel belt on radial sizes for high-speed handling and control
  • Compound wings on the sidewall to reduce vibration and heat build-up

Operations & maintenance

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — fit to the rear wheel only, on a rim rated for tubeless tyres, and observe the rotation direction marked on the sidewall.
Fit a new valve (and seal check) at the same time as the tyre; an ageing valve is a common cause of slow pressure loss on tubeless wheels.
Run the tyre in gently for the first ride or two: build heat gradually and avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the moulding release film has scrubbed off the new tread surface.
Check and adjust pressures when the tyres are cold, using the cold pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer (placard or owner's handbook) — increase to the manufacturer's loaded figure when carrying a pillion or luggage.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones, nails or uneven wear, and check pressures before any long ride.
Replace the tyre once the tread reaches the moulded tread wear indicators or the minimum tread depth required in your state or territory, whichever comes first.
Have any puncture inspected by a professional rather than relying on a roadside plug — sidewall damage and larger tread penetrations cannot be safely repaired, and a repaired tyre may carry reduced speed limitations.
Do not exceed the load or speed capability of the tyre's 63H rating, and keep front and rear fitments compatible in size and type.
Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, oils, brake fluid, solvents and silicone-based tyre shines off the tread and sidewalls.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, heat and electric motors (which generate ozone), and clear of sharp objects and chemicals.
