Description

The Michelin Power Cup Evo is a treaded racing tyre built for track work while remaining approved for road use. This is the 120/70-17 (58W) tubeless front fitment, suited to supersport and smaller-capacity machines run on circuit days, ride days and fast road use.

It is designed to warm up quickly and be used straight out of the wrapper, with no specific set-up changes needed. Tyre warmers are recommended but not mandatory, which makes it a practical choice for riders who tow to the track and want grip early in a session.

Sold individually as one front tyre. Fitting and balancing are not included.

Operations & maintenance

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter, and follow the rotation direction marked on the sidewall.
For track use, set a recommended minimum cold pressure of 2.1 bar (30.5 psi) at the front; the matching rear figure is 1.5 bar (22 psi).
Recommended minimum hot pressure on track is 2.4 bar (35 psi) front and 1.7 bar (24.5 psi) rear — check pressures immediately after a session, not once the tyre has cooled.
For road use, follow the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer.
No specific set-up changes are required before use; tyre warmers are recommended but not mandatory.
Scrub the tyre in with a few progressively harder laps or kilometres before pushing for full lean angle, and take extra care on cold or damp surfaces.
Check pressures cold before every ride or track day, and inspect the tread and sidewalls for cuts, tearing, blistering or embedded debris.
Keep tyre shine, solvents, fuel and oils off the tread and sidewalls; clean with mild soapy water and rinse.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and sharp edges.
Replace the tyre once it reaches the wear indicators, or earlier if it is damaged, badly torn up from track use, or has been ridden underinflated.
