Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician — tubeless motorcycle tyres require a compatible, undamaged tubeless rim and correct bead seating.
Check the size, load index and speed rating against the tyre placard or owner's manual for your bike before fitting, and confirm whether this size is intended as a front fitment on your model.
Observe any rotation direction marking on the sidewall when fitting, and fit a new valve (or service the existing valve seal) at the same time as the tyre.
Ride gently for the first kilometres on a new tyre — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the mould-release finish has scrubbed off and the tyre is working evenly across the tread.
Check inflation pressure when the tyre is cold, at least fortnightly and before any long ride, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer. Under-inflation causes rapid, uneven wear and poor handling.
Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones, nails or sidewall damage, and have any damage assessed by a tyre professional before riding.
Monitor the tread wear indicators and replace the tyre once the tread reaches the legal or indicated minimum depth.
Do not exceed the load or speed capability marked on the sidewall, and re-check pressures when carrying a pillion or luggage.
Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush; keep tyre shine products, solvents, petrol and oils off the tread and sidewalls.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and chemicals.
